How to use Text to PDF

  1. Add textPaste into the box or open a .txt / .md file.
  2. Pick the lookFont family, size, page size and margins.
  3. Create PDFLong lines wrap and new pages start automatically.

Light formatting

Lines starting with #, ## or ### become bold headings of decreasing size; lines starting with -, * or • become bullet points. Everything else is set as paragraphs, preserving your blank lines. Tabs become four spaces, so code and logs line up in the monospace font.

Character support

The built-in PDF fonts cover Western European languages (English, Spanish, French, German and more, including curly quotes and dashes). Characters outside that set — for example Chinese or emoji — are replaced with “?”. Full Unicode font embedding is on the roadmap.

Quick, tidy documents from notes

Paste meeting notes, a README or a plain-text letter, choose a typeface and page size, and get a PDF with consistent margins and page breaks. Lines starting with # become headings and lines starting with - become bullets, so notes written in a simple Markdown style come out looking structured without any word processor.

Questions about Text to PDF

Is this full Markdown?

No, only headings and bullets are recognized. Links, tables and emphasis are kept as plain text.

Can I convert HTML pages?

Faithful HTML-to-PDF needs a full layout engine; use your browser’s Print → Save as PDF for web pages.

Where does the PDF title come from?

The first line of your text becomes the document title in its properties.

Can I add page numbers to the result?

Yes — pass the result on with “Continue with this result” to Add page numbers, or open it on the Workbench to add numbers and a watermark in one run.

Which page sizes and fonts can I pick?

US Letter, A4, US Legal and A5, with a sans-serif, serif or monospace typeface and your choice of font size and margin. Monospace keeps code and fixed-width tables aligned.
