How to use Extract pages
- Open the PDFAll pages appear as thumbnails.
- Select pages to keepClick each page you want; the order follows the original document.
- ExtractSave as one combined PDF, or tick the option to get one file per selected page.
Extract vs. split vs. remove
Extract is the visual way to keep a few pages. Split is quicker when you already know page numbers or want many parts at once. Remove pages is the inverse of extract — you click what goes instead of what stays.
One file per page
With “Save each selected page as a separate PDF” switched on, every selected page becomes its own file, named with its page number. That is useful when each page is a separate receipt or certificate.
Pulling the signed pages from a contract
A common job is sending only the signature pages of a long agreement back to the other party. Open the contract, click the pages with signature blocks — say 4, 11 and 23 — and extract. You get one short PDF in page order. Tick “Save each selected page as a separate PDF” instead and every chosen page becomes its own file, bundled as a zip when you download them all.
Need more than one step? The Workbench runs Extract pages together with other operations on the same file in one go — for example merge → compress → protect.
Questions about Extract pages
Does extracting change the original?
No. A new file is created; your original stays exactly as it was.
Can I change page order while extracting?
Extract keeps the original order. Run the result through Reorder pages afterwards — the “Continue” buttons pass it along.
Are links and form fields kept?
Page content, images and annotations on the page are copied. Document-wide structures like bookmarks are not.
How do I collect pages from different PDFs into one file?
Work on one file at a time here. To collect pages from several documents, merge them first and then extract the pages you need from the merged file.
