- SaveYour marks are written into the page content.
The tools
Text places the words from the options field at the spot you click, in your chosen size and color (use it to fill in forms that have no fields). Box draws an outline, Highlight a translucent marker, Draw freehand ink. White-out covers content with an opaque white rectangle. Place stamps a PNG or JPG — a logo, a photo, a scanned initial.
White-out is not redaction
White-out hides content visually, but the text underneath still exists in the file and can be copied out. For anything confidential use Redact PDF, which removes it.
Editing existing text
Rewriting the original words of a PDF reliably requires the exact embedded font, which many PDFs only include partially. The dependable workaround is White-out over the old text plus Text on top. Native text editing is planned.
Reviewing a draft
For a review pass, highlight the sentences that need work, draw a box around a figure that should move, and add a short text note next to it. Freehand ink is useful on a tablet for circling or underlining. When you are done, the marks are saved into the PDF so the author sees exactly what you saw, in any viewer.
